<div>Just a note on the essential types: the definition is in MISRA C:2012 Appendix D, but this definition is MISRA specific and not inherited from ISO C, so if an approach is taken to formulate rules on the basis of a system derived from the essential type
system, then that type system would also need to be defined.<br>
